Our School

We live, learn, work and play on Kaurna country.

We acknowledge the Kaurna people as the continuing custodians of the Adelaide Plains and pay our respect to Elders past and present. We are committed to Reconciliation.

Prior to the establishment of the City of Elizabeth in 1955, surrounding lands were used by immigrants for a variety of purposes including wheat farming, gold mining and horticulture.

Mercy Schools Partnership

The bonds that hold the Elizabeth Mercy Schools Cluster will strengthen in 2021 with a closer partnership of St Mary Magdalene's School and St Thomas More School. You can hear more about it from Catholic Education SA Director Dr Neil McGoran by clicking the link below.

The Sisters of Mercy established St Mary Magdalene's School in 1957.

The founding values of Respect, Dignity, Spirit of Mercy, Social Justice and Service are still taught today.

The school is part of the Elizabeth Catholic Parish.

The City of Playford was formed in 1997 through the amalgamation of several surrounding Councils.

"I like this school because my children get a good education in a diverse, safe and happy learning environment."
