Enrolment Information

Thank you for considering St Mary Magdalene’s School for your child’s primary education.

Our Enrolment Process

1. Book a Tour

We encourage you to book a tour of our school grounds using our online form.

2. Submit your Application for Enrolment

Complete and submit your Application for Enrolment form to our Front Office. Be sure to submit any other relevant and important documentation at this point. Refer to our Enrolment Information.

3. Attend an Enrolment Discussion

Upon receipt of your Application for Enrolment, you will be invited to attend an Enrolment Discussion with our Principal and/or Head of School. Here you and your child will have an opportunity to meet our team, ask any questions you may have, and discuss the learning needs of your child.

4. Receive a Formal Offer of Enrolment

If there is a place for your child, you will receive a formal Offer of Enrolment which you will be required to complete and sign. Once we receive your acceptance, your child’s place is secured at St Mary Magdalene’s School.

When will my child begin school?

All Catholic schools in Australia offer two main intakes for Reception students during the school year, in Term 1 (January) and Term 3 (July).

Term 1 Reception Intake

This is available for children who turn 5 years of age on or before April 30. Children who begin at the start of the school year will complete four terms of Reception before moving on to year 1.

Term 3 or Mid-Year Reception Intake

This is available for children who turn 5 years of age before October 31. These children will complete 6 terms of Reception before moving on to year 1. Children who turn 5 years of age between 1 November and 31 December will commence Reception in the following year.
